Tropical fish aquarium

How large is your tank? Your fish look way to big for the tank although it may just be the camera is deceiving me.

6 ft mate, just the camera. Plenty of room.

To be honest fish that eat other fish always require a bigger tank than 10 gallon. Ten gallon are difficult because most fish require bigger I just suggest mollies guppies corydoas 2 dwarf gouramiws and some neon tetras

i think its a sailfin plec. i had 1 and it got to about 15cm. lovely lookin fish. mine maily stuck to the glass or rocks eatin the algae. hope this helps, but im sure someone will see yr question and answer it properly.

you got them from the pets at home in cheltnam didnt you. Ive been there its nice

@rob89234 yes it is a sailfin pleco. I think they reach about a foot long.

yea thanks…sounds right the fins on them are well nice and i havent fed it any thing special just eats algae i think, its really big tho, can you get algae pellets?

im not to sure about algae pellets. i never used any with mine. had my plec for about 7yrs and he grew quite big. in that time i had him it mainly just ate the algae off glass ang rocks. sorry i couldnt be more helpful.

its a plec, they eat algae (microscopic plants) from the tank but put a cucumber into the tank they love it

@poppitpirate Go for tropical much cleaner fish and there more choice in tropical.

the white gravel

im trying to choose a gravel that would best reflect the ocean because i have a tropical tank so i thought of white

but im concerned that in a short period of time the white gravel will go pale or dull and look horrible so im not sure what to choose
